Yes it's not exactly ocean front but the price was so reasonable and would stay again. The pool was clean and not overcrowded and was neat with the color changing lights at night time. The was clean and beds were comfy. During the car show/cruise it awesome to just sit along the sidewalk and watch them cruise past.

We had 2 rooms all of last week. For what we paid, we were very satisfied. Front desk staff and housekeeping were all very nice and helpful. Pool was cleaned every morning and we definitely took advantage of the pool! Rooms are outdated but this is a motel so I knew this ahead of time. Great location for us, didn't have to cross any streets to get to the beach which was great as we had little ones. Loved that we were able to use our parking pass and the pool both before and after check-in/check-out. The only real complaint I have is that at least in our two rooms (I'm assuming all rooms), the latch for more secure lock safety on the doors were removed. When my 2 1/2 year old granddaughters are able to open the door themselves, that's a safety concern. We had to push the tables in the rooms to block them access to the door handles. Not really sure why these have been removed. Other then that, I would definitely recommend staying here if you are on a budget!

Pleasantly surprised to find a motel with an amazing, friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds, and a quiet atmosphere. Highly recommended. Great value for a beach vacation.

We have been coming here to the Thunderbird for probably 13 years. We love the convenient location to the beach, shopping, and games! The ladies at the front desk are prompt and friendly, reservations and check in are always smooth. The rooms aren't super primo, but they're clean and comfortable and priced perfectly. A sizeable Mini fridge and microwave are handy and appreciated! Thank you for many great memories at the beach!!!

We arrived very late last night about 1am EXHAUSTED and the woman in the office gave us our air conditioning key and not our room key, we carried all of our bags up to room 316 and the key didn’t work. When we walked in the room it smelled absolutely TERRIBLE like mildew and mold it made us both sick. The fridge was rusty and it just overall felt dirty in there. We laid towels down on the bed to sleep because the beds also smelled dirty. Not to mention they were very uncomfortable! We slept for only 2 hours until we couldn’t stand the smell anymore. We checked out at 7am and took a nap in our car because it was so awful in that room. Looking down into the pool it looked filthy at the bottom. Would not recommend this place at all. Spend the extra money and stay at a nicer place so your vacation doesn’t start out like ours did.

Very clean. Even carpets felt clean, rare for a beach motel. Bedding was freshly laundered. Staff was courteous but a bit aloof. Shower water pressure and temp regulation were terrible. One second your freezing, the next scalding. Beach is a 3 minute walk from your door!
